Wilwood Front Plain-Rotor Brake/Hub Conversion, Chevrolet Impala/Corvette/Bel Air/Biscayne/Caprice/Brookwood/Estate/Kingswood/Townsman (1968–1982), Red Calipers

With red four-piston Dynalite calipers and plain 11-inch rotors, this Wilwood package converts the matching Chevrolet front spindle assembly to a new hub-and-disc arrangement. Vented iron rings, BP-10 pads, bearings and mounting hardware are included. The conversion does not establish interchangeability among all Chevrolet spindles bearing the same model name. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. • Wheel mounting change from OE: +0.47 inches per side; check wheel offset and fender clearance.
• Replacement hubs: Hub - Vented Rotor Offset; Aluminum; Bare. Bearings and hub hardware are specified in the installation instructions.
• Wheel bolt circles: 5 x 4.50; 5 x 4.75 inches.
• Included: paired calipers, pads, rotors, brackets and assembly hardware, replacement hubs and bearings.
• Hydraulic flex lines are separate. Master cylinder, booster and spindles are not included; retain or select suitable matching components.
• Conditional minimum wheel diameter: 14 inches. Verify the complete clearance drawing for barrel and spoke offset before purchase.
• Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is included with this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the existing spindle to the particular disc, drum or C3 application in the table and DS832. Factory front brake options and production splits remain important on restored or modified cars. Check the published per-side hub offset, the wheel's lug circle and its seating surface. Apply the specified wheel spacer where required by mounting-face overhang. Brake hoses are separate, and full barrel/spoke clearance must be verified even where wheel diameter exceeds the conditional 14-inch minimum.
