Wilwood Front Brake/Hub Kit with Red Calipers and Plain 12.19-Inch Rotors, Chevrolet Biscayne/Caprice/Bel Air/Impala 1965–1968

Red Dynalite calipers, 12.19-inch plain vented rotors and new hubs distinguish this Wilwood Chevrolet front disc conversion. Supplied BP-10 pads run in four-piston calipers on the application brackets. The kit retains the matching drum spindles, with hub bearings and the rotor mounting arrangement changed to suit the new brake package. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

• Conditional minimum wheel diameter: 15 inches. Verify the complete clearance drawing for barrel and spoke offset before purchase.
• Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is sold separately for this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use DS831 and the individual model/year table to identify the correct spindle. Check bearing adjustment, hub-face condition and caliper centering during assembly. The published wheel offset affects fender space on both sides, while the hub contact-face design determines whether the supplied spacer is mandatory. Verify those conditions with the actual wheels. Suitable hydraulic lines are separate, and any proposed 15-inch wheel must pass the full template check before the car is returned to service. The selected rotor and current component specification give 1.10-inch width, but the linked PDF clearance figure labels 0.81 inch. Obtain the correct clearance drawing from Wilwood before final wheel selection.
