Wilwood Front Red Dynalite Conversion with 12.19-Inch SRP Rotors, Chevrolet Impala/Bel Air/Caprice/Biscayne (1965–1968)

This red Wilwood front brake kit pairs four-piston Dynalite calipers with drilled/slotted 12.19-inch rotors for the stated Chevrolet drum spindles. The matched package contains replacement hubs, bearings, mounting brackets and BP-10 pads. Its rotor width and wheel-position change must be assessed as part of the conversion. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. • Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is sold separately for this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the original spindle belongs to the correct Chevrolet model and production years before removing the drums. Assemble the new hubs and center the calipers as shown in DS831. Wheels need the correct five-lug pattern, suitable contact-face support and enough room for the caliper profile. Check the specified spacer requirement where the wheel mounting area overhangs the hub. Hydraulic hoses are additional, and the conditional 15-inch wheel size does not replace a barrel-and-spoke clearance measurement. The selected rotor and current component specification give 1.10-inch width, but the linked PDF clearance figure labels 0.81 inch. Obtain the correct clearance drawing from Wilwood before final wheel selection.
