Wilwood Front Plain-Rotor Brake and Hub Conversion, Red Dynalite Calipers, Chevrolet Biscayne/Bel Air/Caprice/Impala (1965–1968)

The red-caliper, plain-rotor option of this Wilwood front kit suits the specified full-size Chevrolet drum spindles. Four-piston Dynalite calipers clamp 11-inch vented iron rotors and included BP-10 pads. New hubs, bearings and mounting hardware are part of this conversion rather than reuse of an original integral drum hub. • Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is included with this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the exact Chevrolet model/year and inspect the spindle's bearing and bracket surfaces before assembly. DS830 gives the caliper centering sequence and wheel spacer conditions. Compare the published per-side wheel offset to the existing tire and fender space, then verify the wheel lug pattern. The compact rotor diameter can work within some 14-inch wheels only when the clearance drawing fits. Add appropriate flexible hoses and complete the hydraulic balance and brake tests for the converted car.
