Wilwood Front Drilled/Slotted Brake Conversion, Mazda RX-7 1993–1995, Black Superlite Calipers and 12.88-Inch Rotors

Drilled/slotted SRP rings distinguish this black Wilwood front package for the Mazda RX-7. The rotors measure 12.88 inches across and 1.10 inches wide, with 48 curved vanes and separate aluminum hats. Six-piston calipers and BP-10 pads replace the original front braking components while retaining the suitable factory hubs. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use DS817 to inspect hub registration and the bracket-to-spindle attachment. Mazda model names alone do not identify previous brake or wheel alterations. Keep the left/right calipers in their assigned positions and shim them to center over the rings. Confirm individual application years in the table and arrange appropriate hydraulic hoses independently. Nominal 17-inch diameter is only a preliminary wheel check: the caliper profile must clear both spokes and barrel with the stated minimum gap.
