Wilwood Rear SRP Brake Conversion, AMC Javelin/Javelin AMX 1971–1974, 11-Inch Drilled/Slotted Rotors and Black Calipers

The drilled/slotted version of Wilwood's low-profile AMC rear kit adds SRP rotor faces to a hydraulic disc and internal-drum parking-brake arrangement. It uses black Dynapro calipers with 1.38-inch bores and 11-inch vented rotors. The hardware is configured around an AMC housing end with a 2.60-inch axle offset. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Validate the housing flange, bearing retainer and wheel studs on the actual Javelin or Javelin AMX. The axle offset is measured with the specified left-side shims retained, and the flange must fit within the rotor-hat envelope. Rear shock clearance also needs inspection even when the model/year matches. DS823 calls for separate cable connections and hydraulic plumbing; do not assume either is included. Adjust the supplied parking shoes inside the hats and confirm spoke clearance using the full drawing.
