Wilwood Front Red Dynalite/SRP Brake Conversion for AMC Gremlin/Hornet/Matador/Javelin AMX/Javelin/AMX/Rebel/Rambler/Ambassador (1969–1976)

Red powder-coated Dynalite calipers and black-coated SRP rotors form this AMC front conversion. The 11-inch diameter, 0.81-inch-wide rings are vented and mount with replacement hubs, bearings and the application brackets. Wilwood supplies the BP-10 pads and assembly hardware for the matched Kelsey-Hayes spindle installation. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

• Wheel bolt circles: 5 x 4.50; 5 x 4.75 inches.
• Included: paired calipers, pads, rotors, brackets and assembly hardware, replacement hubs and bearings.
• Hydraulic flex lines are separate. Master cylinder, booster and spindles are not included; retain or select suitable matching components.
• Conditional minimum wheel diameter: 14 inches. Verify the complete clearance drawing for barrel and spoke offset before purchase.
• Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is included with this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the installed front bearings with the 1.25-inch inner and 0.75-inch outer dimensions before committing to this kit. A Bendix-equipped spindle cannot be substituted. The application list covers different years for different AMC models, including the separate Javelin AMX entries, and should be checked individually. DS822 also defines bracket spacing and the optional wheel spacer. Confirm wheel seating, stud pattern and caliper clearance; brake hoses must be selected in addition to the kit.
