This Wilwood front hub kit pairs red Superlite calipers with 12.88 × 1.10-inch GT slotted rotors. The hats, replacement hubs and brackets form the mounting package for the later factory disc spindle. A +0.25-inch change in wheel mounting position must be included when planning wheel and tire space. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

Fitment & Compatibility

Verify the individual Ford/Mercury model and year rather than treating the combined 1970–1973 span as universal. The Mustang GT350/GT500 exception separates this assembly from the early kit. Check the spindle and bearing arrangement in DS591, provide suitable hoses, and confirm the wheel's axial and radial clearance before installing the calipers.
