Wilwood Black Front GT 12.88-Inch Hub Brake Kit for Fairlane/Falcon/Mustang/Ranchero/Torino and Comet/Cougar/Cyclone/Montego, Later Ford/Mercury Disc Spindles (1970–1973)

Wilwood's later Ford/Mercury disc-spindle package uses black six-piston Superlite calipers, 12.88-inch GT rotors and replacement aluminum hubs. Separate hats position the 1.10-inch-wide friction rings, while radial brackets locate the calipers. It is distinct from the early spindle conversion despite the similar rotor size. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

Check the exact Fairlane, Falcon, Mustang, Ranchero, Torino, Comet, Cougar, Cyclone or Montego row. The listed 1970 Mustang application excludes GT350/GT500 spindle arrangements handled by the earlier kit. Compare the spindle with DS591, check the +0.25-inch wheel offset change and verify actual wheel clearance. Hoses are separate; existing master-cylinder suitability depends on displacement, pedal travel and the complete brake balance.
