Wilwood Rear Drag Brake Conversion for Lincoln Town Car (1990), Small Ford 2.66-Inch Axle

A Small Ford housing end and a measured 2.66-inch offset define this Wilwood rear drag conversion. Drilled 11.44-inch steel rotors and anodized Forged Dynalite calipers form a lightweight competition package for the correctly configured rear axle; the Town Car application must be checked against the actual housing rather than assumed from the vehicle badge. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the installation flange drawing to compare the bearing outside diameter and mounting-hole spacing. This is the Small Ford arrangement, so a Big Ford or aftermarket symmetrical end needs a different bracket package. Plan suitable hydraulic connections separately, and confirm wheel-to-caliper clearance in both radius and depth before assembly. The published 15-inch wheel size is a screening dimension, not a guarantee for every wheel.
