Product details

Four 1.75-inch stainless pistons provide 4.80 square inches of effective area in this anodized Wilwood Dynalite-M. The forged body retains the nominal 0.81-inch rotor-width arrangement and outboard-clearance design associated with the Classic-style brake family. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Wilwood Engineering is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc braking systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with a component range covering calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-17771. Type: Forged Dynalite-M caliper.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum, finished in Type III Anodize.
  • Attachment geometry: lug mount with 5.25-inch centers; universal. 0.39-inch holes; 2.03-inch mounting height.
  • Bore sequence 1.75/1.75 inches across 4 pistons. Piston construction: stainless steel; specified effective area 4.80 square inches.
  • Pad fit uses shape 7112. Match the pad to the rotor and intended operating conditions.
  • Rotor dimensions: outside diameter 10.00–12.19 inches; nominal width 0.81 inch, with width limits of 0.75–0.83 inch.
  • Piston dust boots: no.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Match the fitting thread and sealing arrangement to the brake hose.
  • Component: one individual hydraulic brake caliper. Select the mating rotor, pads, mounting hardware and line connection to suit the complete brake assembly.
  • Caliper component weight: approximately 3.3 lb.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the larger piston area suits the master cylinder and intended brake balance. Compare the 5.25-inch mounting bracket, rotor hat and 7112 pad alignment before checking the actual wheel for clearance.

With 20+ years of experience, PMB Performance can help assess the brake hardware. Provide the caliper number, rotor dimensions and bracket measurements when asking about compatibility.
