Product details

The black left front Wilwood TX6-DM is a six-piston component of the Ram 2500/3500 brake conversion. It retains the 2.00/1.88/1.88-inch stainless piston sizes and nominal 1.50-inch rotor channel specified for that installation. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-17603-BK. Type: TX6-DM Forged Lug Mount caliper.
  • Bore sequence 2.00/1.88/1.88 inches across 6 pistons. Piston construction: stainless steel; specified effective area 8.70 square inches.
  • Rotor dimensions: outside diameter 15.00 inches; nominal width 1.50 inch, with width limits of 1.42–1.50 inch.
  • Attachment geometry: lug mount with 10.24-inch centers; left hand.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Match the fitting thread and sealing arrangement to the brake hose.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum, finished in Black Powder Coat.
  • Pad fit uses shape 10120. Match the pad to the rotor and intended operating conditions.

  • Piston dust boots: yes.
  • Caliper component weight: approximately 14.2 lb.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the 10.24-inch mounting pattern with the corresponding 2014–2023 Ram conversion hardware. Check rotor diameter and width, pad sweep and hose clearance against the complete package rather than assuming interchange from another heavy-duty caliper.
