Product details
A six-piston differential layout provides 5.40 square inches of effective area in this left-hand Wilwood AV6R. The selected unit has stainless pistons and an anodized forged body; its special bracket offset must suit a nominal 1.30-inch rotor-width assembly. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 120-17291. Type: AV6R Radial Mount caliper.
- Rotor dimensions: outside diameter 11.75–13.28 inches; nominal width 1.30 inch, with width limits of 1.25–1.30 inch.
- Bore sequence 1.75/1.38/1.38 inches across 6 pistons. Piston construction: stainless steel; specified effective area 5.40 square inches.
- Construction and surface: forged aluminum, finished in Type III Anodize.
- Attachment geometry: radial mount with 7.09-inch centers; left hand. 0.45-inch holes; 2.33-inch mounting height.
- Pad fit uses shape 7520. Match the pad to the rotor and intended operating conditions.
- Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Match the fitting thread and sealing arrangement to the brake hose.
- Piston dust boots: no.
- Caliper component weight: approximately 7.8 lb.
- Component: one individual hydraulic brake caliper. Select the mating rotor, pads, mounting hardware and line connection to suit the complete brake assembly.
Fitment & Compatibility
Match the 7520 pad shape and rotor friction track before committing to the installation. Neither the AV6R name nor 7.09-inch center spacing establishes the required offset, so compare the caliper drawing with the bracket and rotor together.
PMB Performance brings over 20 years of experience to brake-component selection. Share the installed caliper, rotor size and mounting arrangement so the relevant dimensions can be compared.
