Product details

Six differential stainless pistons act through the pads of this red right-hand Wilwood XRS6R. The 1.75/1.25/1.25-inch bore sequence supplies 4.86 square inches of effective area, with internal fluid ports and a nominal 1.10-inch-wide rotor channel. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized use, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-17217-RD. Type: Forged XRS6R Radial Mount caliper.
  • Attachment geometry: radial mount with 5.98-inch centers; right hand. 0.39-inch holes; 1.45-inch mounting height.
  • Rotor dimensions: outside diameter 11.75–14.00 inches; nominal width 1.10 inch, with width limits of 1.00–1.10 inch.
  • Pad fit uses shape 10416. Match the pad to the rotor and intended operating conditions.
  • Bore sequence 1.75/1.25/1.25 inches across 6 pistons. Piston construction: stainless steel; specified effective area 4.86 square inches.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Match the fitting thread and sealing arrangement to the brake hose.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum, finished in Red Powder Coat.

Fitment & Compatibility

The caliper needs the correct bracket for rotor diameter and hat offset, even if the 5.98-inch centers are familiar. Confirm that the larger piston area fits the master cylinder and intended brake balance before ordering.
