Product details
Wilwood’s anodized right AERO6 uses six stainless pistons with 1.62/1.12/1.12-inch bores. The differential layout, type 6617 pads and nominal 1.25-inch rotor-width cavity are housed within a forged radial-mount body. For motorsport, street-performance and specialized braking applications, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. The disc brake company was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 120-13289. Component: Aero6 Radial Mount caliper.
- Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
- Bore configuration 1.62/1.12/1.12 inches across 6 pistons; piston material: stainless steel. Hydraulic effective area: 4.04 square inches.
- Construction and surface: forged aluminum housing finished in Type III anodize.
- Caliper weight: approximately 6.9 lb.
- Nominal rotor width 1.25 inch; compatible outside diameter from 12.19 through 15.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.10–1.28 inch.
- Bracket interface: 7.09-inch radial centers with 0.45-inch holes. Specified mount height: 2.09 inches; orientation: right hand.
- Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
- Piston dust boots: not fitted.
- Pad fit is type 6617. Match the pad dimensions and compound to the rotor and intended braking conditions.
Fitment & Compatibility
Compare all three piston diameters when checking brake balance. Verify the 7.09-inch radial attachment and the usable friction radius on a rotor between 12.19 and 15.00 inches in diameter.
