Product details

The black left-hand AERO4 carries four stainless pistons in a differential 1.88/1.62-inch configuration. It shares the AERO radial body layout while retaining its own bore sizing, pad cavity and nominal 1.25-inch rotor-width requirement. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and its component range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-13286-BK. Component: Aero4 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • 7.09-inch radial mounting pattern, left hand; mounting height 2.09 inches and hole size 0.45 inch.
  • 4 stainless steel pistons with 1.88/1.62-inch bore groups. The specified effective area is 4.84 sq in.
  • Black powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Brake pad profile 6617; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 6.8 lb.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 1.25-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 12.19 to 15.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.10–1.28 inch.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm that the installed hydraulic balance calls for this piston combination. Verify 2.09-inch mount height, 7.09-inch radial centers and the rotor hat’s clearance from the inboard half of the caliper.
