Product details

Wilwood’s red right AERO4 is a four-piston caliper with 1.88- and 1.62-inch stainless bores. The body is forged aluminum with internal fluid transfer and radial attachment for a brake assembly using the specified wide rotor cavity. With a range spanning calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures complete disc braking systems and their components. Bill Wood founded the Camarillo, California-based company in 1977 for a market now covering motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-13285-RD. Component: Aero4 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 6.8 lb.
  • Compatible brake pad shape: 6617; choose the required compound for the brake system.
  • Body: forged aluminum; finish: Red powder coat.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Mounting: radial, 7.09-inch centers; right hand orientation. Mount holes: 0.45 inch; height: 2.09 inches.
  • Pistons: 4 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.88/1.62 inches. Effective piston area: 4.84 sq in.
  • Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.25 inch; diameter 12.19–15.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.10–1.28 inch.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check the actual rotor width against the 1.10–1.28-inch range and the nominal 1.25-inch specification. The right-hand bracket must suit a 7.09-inch mounting pattern and keep the 6617 friction material fully on the rotor.
