Product details

A red powder-coated AERO4 for the right side, this Wilwood caliper uses four stainless pistons in 1.62- and 1.38-inch bores. It is a radial-mount component with internal fluid transfer, not a complete vehicle brake conversion. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems, from calipers and brake rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized use.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-13281-RD. Component: Aero4 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum housing finished in Red powder coat.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 6.9 lb.
  • Pad fit is type 6617. Match the pad dimensions and compound to the rotor and intended braking conditions.
  • Bracket interface: 7.09-inch radial centers with 0.45-inch holes. Specified mount height: 2.09 inches; orientation: right hand.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Nominal rotor width 1.25 inch; compatible outside diameter from 12.19 through 15.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.10–1.28 inch.
  • Bore configuration 1.62/1.38 inches across 4 pistons; piston material: stainless steel. Hydraulic effective area: 3.56 square inches.

Fitment & Compatibility

The rotor must be 1.10–1.28 inches wide for this body version, with a 1.25-inch nominal specification. Compare its bracket spacing and pad sweep, and retain the prescribed orientation of the differential pistons.

With 20+ years of experience, PMB Performance can help compare the actual brake hardware. Supply the caliper number, rotor dimensions and mounting measurements when asking about compatibility.
