Wilwood’s red DPHA replaces the front caliper on Honda and Acura applications using the original 262 mm brake package. Four stainless pistons act on the pads within a forged body, while the stock mounting and hose arrangement are retained. Camarillo, California is home to Wilwood Engineering, the disc brake company Bill Wood founded in 1977. Its design and manufacturing range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized brake systems.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-12949-RD. Component: Forged DPHA caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Pad fit is type 7812. Match the pad dimensions and compound to the rotor and intended braking conditions.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: M10 x 1.50. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum housing finished in Red powder coat.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 3.9 lb.
  • Bracket interface: 5.51-inch lug centers with 0.47-inch holes. Specified mount height: 2.37 inches; orientation: universal.
  • Nominal rotor width 0.83 inch; compatible outside diameter 10.32 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.78–0.83 inch.
  • Bore configuration 1.62 inches across 4 pistons; piston material: stainless steel. Hydraulic effective area: 4.12 square inches.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.

Fitment & Compatibility

This is the 1.62-inch-bore version for a 10.32-inch-diameter rotor, nominally 0.83 inch wide. Confirm factory spindle geometry and wheel clearance; a different factory rotor package is not covered simply because the vehicle carries the same badge.
