Product details
The red left MC4 uses a cable lever to apply its parking pads, independently of the hydraulic service brake. The nominal 0.81-inch rotor-width assembly includes its mounting bracket and manual adjustment mechanism. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 120-12070-RD. Component: MC4 Mechanical caliper.
- Supply: one MC4 parking caliper with its mounting bracket and parking pads; the pads’ exact friction compound should be confirmed if a particular material is required.
- Hydraulic connection: none; the caliper is operated by a parking-brake cable.
- Rotor compatibility: nominal width 0.81 inch; diameter 11.00–14.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.70–0.81 inch.
- Pistons: 1 aluminum; bore specification: 1.19 inches. Mechanical actuation; this is not a hydraulic service caliper.
- Body: cast aluminum; finish: Red powder coat.
- Piston dust boots: included.
- Compatible brake pad shape: 6407; choose the required compound for the brake system.
- Mounting: floating, 4.75-inch centers; left hand orientation. Mount holes: 0.67 inch.
- Caliper weight: approximately 3.3 lb.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check the rotor's 11.00–14.00-inch diameter range and lateral position against the bracket. A correct 0.310-inch barrel-ended cable must apply and fully release the left-hand mechanism without interference.
With 20+ years of experience, PMB Performance can help compare the actual brake hardware. Supply the caliper number, rotor dimensions and mounting measurements when asking about compatibility.
