Product details

The red small-bore D154 uses a nominal 0.81-inch rotor-width channel and two 1.12-inch stainless pistons. It retains original-style D154 pads within the forged GM metric floating body. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures disc brake systems, from calipers and brake rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized use.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11875-RD. Component: D154 Single & Dual Piston Floater caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 4.6 lb.
  • Nominal rotor width 0.81 inch; compatible outside diameter from 11.00 through 12.19 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.70–0.81 inch.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum housing finished in Red powder coat.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: M10 x 1.50. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Bore configuration 1.12 inches across 2 pistons; piston material: stainless steel. Hydraulic effective area: 1.98 square inches.
  • Bracket interface: 5.46-inch floating centers with 0.69-inch holes. Specified mount height: 0.37 inches; orientation: universal.
  • Pad fit is type D154. Match the pad dimensions and compound to the rotor and intended braking conditions.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check that 1.98 square inches is the required piston area. The bracket, pad sweep and metric inlet must match the actual rotor arrangement rather than another red D154 with larger bores.

With 20+ years of experience, PMB Performance can help compare the actual brake hardware. Supply the caliper number, rotor dimensions and mounting measurements when asking about compatibility.
