Product details
Twin 1.62-inch stainless pistons equip this black D154 floating caliper. Its forged body retains the GM metric bracket format and original-style D154 pads over a nominal 1.04-inch-wide rotor. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

- Manufacturer part number: 120-11872-BK. Component: D154 Single & Dual Piston Floater caliper.
- Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
- Caliper weight: approximately 4.6 lb.
- Mounting: floating, 5.46-inch centers; universal orientation. Mount holes: 0.69 inch; height: 0.37 inches.
- Piston dust boots: not fitted.
- Pistons: 2 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.62 inches. Effective piston area: 4.12 sq in.
- Hydraulic inlet thread: M10 x 1.50. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
- Body: forged aluminum; finish: Black powder coat.
- Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.04 inch; diameter 11.00–12.19 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.87–1.04 inch.
- Compatible brake pad shape: D154; choose the required compound for the brake system.
Fitment & Compatibility
Match the 4.12-square-inch hydraulic sizing deliberately. Correct 5.46-inch slide-pin spacing must be combined with the appropriate rotor offset and free sliding travel as the pads wear.
