Wilwood GM Metric D154 Single-Piston Caliper, Red / 2.50-Inch Bore / 1.04-inch Rotor Width

This red D154 is a single-piston floating caliper for a matched GM metric brake arrangement. Its 2.50-inch stainless piston gives 4.90 square inches of area in the nominal 1.04-inch rotor-width body. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc braking systems. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range covers calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected as parts of a complete system.

• Manufacturer part number: 120-11870-RD. Component: D154 Single & Dual Piston Floater caliper.
• Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
• 5.46-inch floating mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 0.37 inches and hole size 0.69 inch.
• Hydraulic inlet thread: M10 x 1.50. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
• 1 stainless steel piston with 2.50-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 4.90 sq in.
• The rotor channel is specified for 1.04-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.00 to 12.19 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.87–1.04 inch.
• Brake pad profile D154; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
• Piston dust boots: not fitted.
• Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
• Caliper weight: approximately 4.6 lb.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check the slide-pin bracket and original-style pad sweep against the rotor. Do not treat the D154 single- and twin-piston bodies as hydraulically identical merely because their mounting format is shared.
