Product details

The red right FNSL6R is an individual six-piston caliper for a nominal 1.10-inch-wide rotor. Differential 1.62/1.12/1.12-inch stainless bores work with the narrow 7416 pads. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and its component range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11780-RD. Component: Forged Narrow Superlite 6 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • 6 stainless steel pistons with 1.62/1.12/1.12-inch bore groups. The specified effective area is 4.04 sq in.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Brake pad profile 7416; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
  • 5.98-inch radial mounting pattern, right hand; mounting height 1.45 inches and hole size 0.39 inch.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 1.10-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.75 to 14.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.00–1.10 inch.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.0 lb.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the 4.04-square-inch area with the brake circuit's requirements. Mount the right-hand body on a matching 5.98-inch radial bracket and check the rotor centerline against the channel.
