Product details

A polished forged housing identifies this right-hand Narrow Superlite 6 radial caliper. It combines six differential stainless pistons with a nominal 1.10-inch rotor width and 4.04-square-inch effective area. With a range spanning calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures complete disc braking systems and their components. Bill Wood founded the Camarillo, California-based company in 1977 for a market now covering motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11780-P. Component: Forged Narrow Superlite 6 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.0 lb.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Compatible brake pad shape: 7416; choose the required compound for the brake system.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.10 inch; diameter 11.75–14.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.00–1.10 inch.
  • Pistons: 6 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.62/1.12/1.12 inches. Effective piston area: 4.04 sq in.
  • Mounting: radial, 5.98-inch centers; right hand orientation. Mount holes: 0.39 inch; height: 1.45 inches.
  • Body: forged aluminum; finish: polished.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the 7416 pad dimensions when checking rotor sweep. The polished finish does not change the need to verify 5.98-inch radial mounting, right-hand bore orientation and the rotor's lateral location.
