Product details

Red powder coat surrounds this left FNSL6R's six stainless pistons. The differential 1.62/1.12/1.12-inch bores and nominal 1.25-inch rotor-width channel define its hydraulic and rotor-width configuration. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11779-RD. Component: Forged Narrow Superlite 6 Radial Mount caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.0 lb.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.25 inch; diameter 11.75–14.00 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.19–1.25 inch.
  • Pistons: 6 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.62/1.12/1.12 inches. Effective piston area: 4.04 sq in.
  • Body: forged aluminum; finish: Red powder coat.
  • Compatible brake pad shape: 7416; choose the required compound for the brake system.
  • Mounting: radial, 5.98-inch centers; left hand orientation. Mount holes: 0.39 inch; height: 1.45 inches.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the 7416 pad sweep with the rotor friction surface. Use the correct left-hand mounting and check the 5.98-inch radial bracket offset along with the required 4.04-square-inch area.

With 20+ years of experience, PMB Performance can help compare the actual brake hardware. Supply the caliper number, rotor dimensions and mounting measurements when asking about compatibility.
