Product details
The small-bore, wide-rotor FNDL pairs a nominal 1.25-inch channel with four 1.12-inch stainless pistons. Its 1.98-square-inch effective area differs from the larger-bore versions in the same forged housing family. From its base in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977, its range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 120-11579. Component: Forged Narrow Dynalite caliper.
- Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
- Compatible brake pad shape: 7816; 7216; choose the required compound for the brake system.
- Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.25 inch; diameter 11.75–12.72 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.19–1.25 inch.
- Caliper weight: approximately 4.1 lb.
- Body: forged aluminum; finish: Type III anodize.
- Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
- Pistons: 4 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.12 inches. Effective piston area: 1.98 sq in.
- Piston dust boots: not fitted.
- Mounting: lug, 3.50-inch centers; universal orientation. Mount holes: 0.45 inch; height: 2.85 inches.
Fitment & Compatibility
Match both the wide rotor offset and small piston area. The 3.50-inch lug pattern and wheel clearance must agree with the actual bracket, hat and selected friction pads.
