Product details

The red dust-booted Dynapro caliper houses four 1.38-inch aluminum pistons. The boots complement the internal piston seals on this nominal 0.81-inch rotor-width version, which accepts 7812 pads. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc braking systems. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range covers calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected as parts of a complete system.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11481-RD. Component: Dynapro Dust-Boot caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • 4 aluminum pistons with 1.38-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 3.00 sq in.
  • Piston dust boots: included.
  • Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 3.8 lb.
  • 5.25-inch lug mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 2.10 inches and hole size 0.39 inch.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 0.81-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 10.00 to 13.06 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.75–0.83 inch.
  • Brake pad profile 7812; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check whether the expected temperature range suits the booted configuration. Its 5.25-inch mounting pattern, rotor offset and 3.00-square-inch area must agree with the installation.
