Product details

This red FSLI carries four 1.62-inch stainless pistons in a forged body with a nominal 0.81-inch rotor-width channel. The center bridge bolt provides pad retention and access to the 7420 friction pads. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and its component range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11131-RD. Component: Forged Superlite Internal caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.2 lb.
  • Brake pad profile 7420; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
  • 3.50-inch lug mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 2.85 inches and hole size 0.45 inch.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 0.81-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.75 to 13.06 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.75–0.84 inch.
  • 4 stainless steel pistons with 1.62-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 4.12 sq in.

Fitment & Compatibility

A 4.12-square-inch effective area needs a compatible hydraulic circuit. Compare the 3.50-inch lugs, rotor centerline and wheel envelope when choosing the final mounting arrangement.
