Product details

The red Superlite Internal caliper has four equal 1.38-inch stainless bores and is identified for a nominal 1.10-inch rotor width. Its forged housing routes fluid internally and retains the top-loaded 7420 pads with a center bridge bolt. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc braking systems. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range covers calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected as parts of a complete system.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11129-RD. Component: Forged Superlite Internal caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.2 lb.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • 3.50-inch lug mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 2.85 inches and hole size 0.45 inch.
  • 4 stainless steel pistons with 1.38-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 3.00 sq in.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 1.10-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.75 to 13.06 inches. Confirm the usable minimum and maximum rotor width before installation.
  • Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • Brake pad profile 7420; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check the allowable minimum and maximum rotor widths before fitting. This version still needs the correct 3.50-inch mounting geometry and 3.00-square-inch piston area for the brake circuit.
