Product details

The black Forged Superlite Internal caliper combines four 1.38-inch stainless pistons with internal fluid passages. It is sized for a nominal 0.81-inch-wide rotor and uses the 7420 pad shape under a removable center bridge bolt. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977, and the company is based in Camarillo, California. It designs and manufactures disc brake systems and a component range of calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines serving motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-11128-BK. Component: Forged Superlite Internal caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Body: forged aluminum; finish: Black powder coat.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Rotor compatibility: nominal width 0.81 inch; diameter 11.75–13.06 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.75–0.84 inch.
  • Pistons: 4 stainless steel; bore specification: 1.38 inches. Effective piston area: 3.00 sq in.
  • Mounting: lug, 3.50-inch centers; universal orientation. Mount holes: 0.45 inch; height: 2.85 inches.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.2 lb.
  • Compatible brake pad shape: 7420; choose the required compound for the brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the 3.00-square-inch piston area to check hydraulic compatibility. Bracket offset must center this narrow channel over the rotor, while the wheel needs clearance around both the body and inlet fitting.
