Product details

The black small-bore D52 is a rear floating caliper with two 1.25-inch stainless pistons. This version is sized around a nominal 1.04-inch rotor width, retaining the original-style D52 pad profile and 7.06-inch slide-pin layout. For motorsport, street-performance and specialized braking applications, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. The disc brake company was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-10939-BK. Component: D52 Dual Piston Floater caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • Nominal rotor width 1.04 inch; compatible outside diameter from 11.00 through 12.19 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.81–1.04 inch.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 7/16-20. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Bore configuration 1.25 inches across 2 pistons; piston material: stainless steel. Hydraulic effective area: 2.46 square inches.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.5 lb.
  • Bracket interface: 7.06-inch floating centers with 0.69-inch holes. Specified mount height: 0.77 inches; orientation: universal.
  • Pad fit is type D52. Match the pad dimensions and compound to the rotor and intended braking conditions.
  • Construction and surface: forged aluminum housing finished in Black powder coat.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the existing brake's piston area and rotor width carefully. The floating body needs free movement on the bracket, and the hydraulic line must terminate in the specified 7/16-20 banjo fitting.
