Product details

This red D52 is the nominal 1.04-inch rotor width version of Wilwood's large-bore twin-piston floating caliper. The 2.00-inch stainless pistons and forged body work with original-style D52 pads and the correct slide-pin bracket. Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and its component range includes calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 120-10937-RD. Component: D52 Dual Piston Floater caliper.
  • Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
  • The rotor channel is specified for 1.04-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.00 to 12.19 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.81–1.04 inch.
  • 2 stainless steel pistons with 2.00-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 6.28 sq in.
  • Piston dust boots: not fitted.
  • Caliper weight: approximately 5.5 lb.
  • 7.06-inch floating mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 0.77 inches and hole size 0.69 inch.
  • Brake pad profile D52; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
  • Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 7/16-20. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the actual rotor width and mounting geometry to identify compatibility. Verify the required brake bias and hose connection; a GM model name or matching paint color does not establish the correct piston size.
