The red GNX4 caliper combines a forged body with four 1.88-inch stainless pistons and a nominal 1.00-inch rotor-width channel. Its DOT 5-only seal specification is a critical distinction when replacing a similar-looking hydraulic caliper. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures disc braking systems. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range covers calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, selected as parts of a complete system.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer part number: 120-10754-RD. Component: GNX4 Caliper.
- Supply: one brake caliper, not a complete axle brake kit. Match the mating rotor, pads, bracket and connection hardware to the installation.
- 7.00-inch lug mounting pattern, universal; mounting height 2.41 inches and hole size 0.45 inch.
- Red powder coat finish on a forged aluminum caliper body.
- Caliper weight: approximately 7.7 lb.
- Brake pad profile 9115; select friction material for the actual operating conditions.
- Piston dust boots: included.
- The rotor channel is specified for 1.00-inch nominal width. Rotor outside diameter: 11.75 to 13.06 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 0.88–1.00 inch.
- Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
- 4 stainless steel pistons with 1.88-inch bore diameter. The specified effective area is 5.56 sq in.
Fitment & Compatibility
Use only within a brake system approved for DOT 5 silicone fluid. Check the 11.75–13.06-inch rotor diameter range, 7.00-inch mounting pattern and 9115 pad geometry; do not mix silicone and glycol brake fluids.
