Product details

This anodized D8-4 replaces an original front caliper on a 1965–1982 Chevrolet Corvette using the factory brake layout. Four 1.88-inch stainless pistons act over the stock-size 11.75-inch-diameter rotor of nominal 1.25-inch width, with the original D8 pad shape. With a range spanning calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures complete disc braking systems and their components. Bill Wood founded the Camarillo, California-based company in 1977 for a market now covering motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications.

  • Hydraulic inlet thread: 1/8-27 NPT. Use a fitting with the correct thread and sealing seat.
  • Mounting: lug, 7.00-inch centers; universal orientation. Mount height: 1.83 inches.
  • Rotor compatibility: nominal width 1.25 inch; diameter 11.75 inches. Specified rotor-width limits: 1.17–1.25 inch.

Fitment & Compatibility

The front mounting pattern is 7.00 inches. A suitable flex line with a 1/8-27 NPT caliper end is needed; check wheel clearance carefully, especially 1965–1966 JK steel wheels and replica alloys that may need a spacer.
