This URO Aluminum Water Pump Union replaces the failure-prone factory plastic coolant connection used on many Audi, Volkswagen, and Porsche 2.0T applications. Also known as a coolant pipe or water pump union, this piece connects the water pump module to the oil cooler area and helps seal a common cooling-system leak point.
The upgraded aluminum construction is the main reason to choose this version. Original plastic unions can crack, warp, or leak over time from heat cycling. URO’s aluminum design gives the cooling system a more durable replacement at a known weak point, especially during water pump, thermostat housing, or oil cooler service.
