This EMPI kit supplies installation pieces for the engine-side header/extractor connections on a compatible air-cooled VW exhaust. It is intended for fitting or refitting the header after removal, rather than for replacing the muffler itself. Selecting the correct port and connections is important when the engine has an aftermarket exhaust.

Fitment & Compatibility
Match the kit to the actual header's engine connections. The small and large three-bolt muffler-joint kits are separate items. Inspect exhaust studs and mating faces during removal so damaged hardware or a distorted flange can be addressed before assembly.
