This Quiet Exhaust Muffler is the replacement muffler section for the Quiet Exhaust Dual-Chamber System used on 1972–1974 Type 2 and Type 4 applications. It replaces the muffler portion of the existing system without requiring replacement of the complete exhaust assembly.
Use this part when the current muffler has rusted through, developed an exhaust leak, suffered internal deterioration, or otherwise needs replacement while the rest of the Quiet Exhaust system remains serviceable. Confirm that the vehicle is already equipped with the corresponding dual-chamber system before ordering.
