The Fabspeed Muffler Bypass Exhaust replaces the rear system on the 2000–2005 Porsche 996 Turbo with a straight-through arrangement. It is the louder alternative to Maxflo mufflers, with either sport catalysts or open catalyst-bypass sections selected as part of the system. Based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, Fabspeed Motorsport designs exhaust systems, air intakes and ECU tuning for sports cars including Porsche, with development informed by dyno testing and road and track evaluation.
