Identify the actual 996 engine and throttle system before choosing an IPD plenum. The retained options distinguish cable throttle, later 3.4- and 3.6-liter engines, X51 equipment and a Competition package.
Technical Details
- Fabspeed catalog reference: FS.POR.996.IPDXXX. The selected option determines the complete supplied configuration.
- Cable-throttle 3.4L option is separately labelled for 1998–1999.
- Standalone 3.4L, 3.6L and X51 versions must match the installed intake.
- Competition package uses a different throttle-body arrangement; confirm exact included size and hardware.
- Match the installed engine and intake; X51 versions require the corresponding plenum.
- Professional installation and adaptation checks are recommended.
