Fabspeed Maxflo Exhaust for Porsche 986 Boxster / Boxster S (1997–2004)

The Fabspeed Maxflo Exhaust replaces the rear exhaust on the 1997–2004 Porsche 986 Boxster and Boxster S, with different catalyst arrangements for early cars, later US cars and EU/rest-of-world cars. Packed mufflers and dual-style tips are common features, but the inlet sections depend on the selected application. From Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, Fabspeed Motorsport develops Porsche and other sports-car exhausts, intakes and ECU software through dyno testing, road use and racetrack evaluation.

Technical Details

• Product family reference: FS.POR.986X.MAXXX
• 14–16-gauge mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel.
• Polished stainless, satin-black and carbon-fiber tip choices.
• Early and EU/ROW sport-cat variants include HJS catalysts; early race variants use bypass pipes.
• The listed 2000–2004 US version deletes the secondary catalyst section.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match year, original delivery market and the car’s actual catalyst arrangement. Confirm the converter connections on 2000–2004 EU and rest-of-world cars before selecting the sport-cat version. Catalyst-bypass versions are competition-only; Fabspeed also restricts the sport-cat versions to closed-course use without CARB/EPA certification.
