EMPI Ignition Switch, Electrical Portion Only, for VW Air-Cooled Models, 1968–1970

This is the electrical half of the steering-column ignition switch used on 1968–1970 air-cooled Volkswagens. The keyed lock housing sits on top of it, so the switch can be replaced without changing the lock cylinder or the key. It is the part to change when the key turns but the car will not crank, or when accessories drop out as you turn the key.
