The EMPI 43-5515-0 is a .57 idle jet for Weber 40, 44, and 48 IDF, Weber DCNF, and EMPI 40 and 44 HPMX carburetors, and it fits PMO Induction carbs, which are designed to accept commercially available IDF jets. It richens the idle and off-idle circuit by a small step. In EMPI's 74405 series it sits between the .55 and the .60, the in-between size for an engine that runs a little lean on .55s and a little rich on .60s.
Those two neighbors are factory sizes on many carbs. EMPI's dual 44mm HPMX ships with .55 idle jets and its single-carb HPMX versions with .60s, and PMO's carb sets use a 55 or a 60 depending on carb size and engine. PMO's own jet chart goes from .55 straight to .60, so the EMPI .57 fills that gap for PMO owners after a finer setting.

Fitment & Compatibility

Installation & Tuning Notes
Settle the idle circuit before changing main or air corrector jets. Set the mixture screws with the engine warm, then resync the carbs.
Common Questions
Is a .57 richer than a .55?
Yes, slightly. Larger idle jet numbers flow more fuel.
PMO doesn't list a .57. Will it still fit?
PMO carbs are designed to take commercially available IDF jets, and the .57 belongs to EMPI's IDF and HPMX idle jet series.
