The EMPI 16-9165-0 is a single H3 halogen bulb rated 12 volts and 55 watts, used as the replacement lamp in off-road and auxiliary lights built for an H3 bulb. EMPI fits this bulb to its 4 inch Chrome Off-Road Light (16-9150), so it is the direct spare for that lamp. The H3 type uses a PK22s base, which has to match the light housing. It is sold individually.
EMPI's halogen range covers H1 at 55, 100, and 130 watts, H2 at 55 and 100 watts, and H3 at 55 watts. An H1 or H2 will not fit a housing made for an H3, so identify the old bulb first. EMPI's 5 inch and 6 inch chrome lights come with an H3 100-watt bulb, so check the wattage on the old bulb if it came from one of those. Before adding lights, EMPI recommends checking charging capacity with watts divided by volts equals amps. One 55-watt bulb at 12 volts draws about 4.6 amps, and a pair about 9.2 amps.

Installation & Tuning Notes
Hold the bulb by its metal base and keep fingers off the glass. Skin oil on a halogen capsule creates a hot spot that shortens bulb life, so clean the glass with alcohol if it gets touched.
