EMPI's front disc brake kit for ball joint Type 1 front ends brings in new stock-height ball joint spindles along with backing plates, calipers with pads, and rotors. It bolts together as a complete conversion from drum brakes.
The kit is drilled 4x130 with 14x1.5mm threads. Wheel studs are not included, and 15-inch wheels are required. Bearings and seals are bought separately, or use the six-piece EMPI bearing and seal kit 22-2851. Cars from 1966 to 1968 need the 1969 and later tie rod ends.
