The PMO PM-O105-3 is the float needle by itself, the moving tip of the float needle valve that the float presses into its seat to shut off fuel in PMO Induction carburetors for air-cooled Porsche flat sixes. A worn or sticking tip lets fuel keep flowing past the seat, which raises the level and can flood the carb. Order it when the needle is worn but the body and seat are still good.
PMO sells the complete valve with a 1.75 body (PM-O105-0) or a 2.50 body (PM-O105-1). PMO's 40mm rebuild kit includes four 1.75 bodies, the 46mm and 50mm kits each include two 1.75 and two 2.50 bodies, and all three include four of these needles. Float level is set with PMO float shims in .020 (PM-O105-7), .030 (PM-O105-5), and .040 (PM-O105-8).

Fitment & Compatibility
Fits PMO Induction carburetors in 40mm, 46mm, and 50mm sizes. PMO states its carburetors are compatible with any flat-six Porsche engine from 1965–1998, which covers the 911 and 914-6.
Installation & Tuning Notes
PMO carbs have an integrated fuel sight glass, so you can check the fuel level after a needle swap without disassembly or special tools. Correct the level with float shims.
Common Questions
Do I need the body too?
Only if the seat or threads are damaged. If the body is sound, the needle alone restores the shutoff.
Which body size do my carbs use?
PMO's 40mm kits use the 1.75 body, while the 46mm and 50mm kits carry both 1.75 and 2.50 bodies. Check your carb or ask us before ordering.
