Product details
Plan a send-in ECU calibration for a supported G20 M340i after checking the B58 control-unit reference and production date. The documented window runs up to the June 2020 ECU-security changeover. Arrange programming availability before removing the ECU, since a later security version can prevent access. Fabspeed Motorsport designs performance exhaust systems, air intakes and ECU tuning in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Porsche and other sports-car applications are developed through dyno testing, road evaluation and racetrack work.
Technical Details
- Manufacturer product reference: FS.BMW.M340.ECU.
- Bench service for the original M340i control unit; hardware removal and shipment are required.
- Supply the completed vehicle-information form, including fuel octane and the car’s installed modifications.
- Original-file retention allows a later return to stock; confirm charges for that service and later file revisions.
- Verify the control-unit identifiers and shipment arrangements before leaving the car out of service.
- June 2020 is an ECU-security changeover. Eligibility depends on the exact ECU build and programming access; the calendar month alone is not confirmation.
Use restrictions
Required emissions hardware and diagnostics must continue to operate. Calibration requests that disable them are excluded.
