EMPI 43-5678-0 is an F11 emulsion tube for Weber 40/44/48 IDF, 48 IDA, and DCO/DCOE carburetors, EMPI 40/44 HPMX and EPC 48/51 carburetors, and IDF-style PMO carburetors. EMPI ships its 40 and 44 HPMX carb kits with F11 tubes, and PMO specifies F11 tubes in its 40mm carb sets for 2.0 to 3.0 liter Porsche 911 engines and its 46mm performance set for 2.8 to 3.0 liters. It and the F7 are the most common VW tubes. The F11 leans the mixture slightly at the top end and is usually paired with air correctors larger than 200, while the F7 richens the bottom of the rpm range.
The tube drops into the main well under the air corrector and mixes the corrector's air into fuel from the main jet. EMPI groups it in its 61450-series tubes with Weber reference .031. Use it to replace a damaged tube.

Installation & Tuning Notes
Air correctors work mainly from about 4,000 rpm up, and a larger corrector leans the mixture while a smaller one richens it. If the corrector size you need falls outside a reasonable range, change tubes.
