Fitment & Compatibility
EMPI specifies Type 1 Beetle and Karmann Ghia 1960–1968 with swing-axle rear suspension and 21-3/4-inch torsion bars. Confirm the spring-plate and torsion-bar setup, especially after chassis changes. IRS and other bar lengths should be identified separately.
