EMPI GTV Fiberglass Decklid with Hinge Mounts for VW Beetle through 1966

EMPI's GTV decklid recreates the raised-scoop appearance in hand-laid fiberglass with integrated hinge-mount inserts. The double-layer fiberglass and polyester-resin shell is supplied in white gel coat for paint preparation. Its scoops are solid as supplied and can be opened as part of a planned ventilation modification, rather than arriving as ready-open cooling ducts.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the early Type 1 body through 1966. Compatible EMPI hinge reference is 00-8666-0; latch choices differ between through-1964 and 1965–1966 cars. Trial-fit the lid, hinges, and latch before finishing the gel coat. Confirm the body opening if the rear bodywork has been changed.
